Your report says that a Pulaski County man pleaded guilty on a recent Thursday in federal court to possession of a machine gun, then goes on to describe the weapon in his possession as a Glock handgun with an added device, called a switch, allowing it to fire repeatedly until the magazine is emptied once the trigger is pulled.
Conversely, our SCOTUS has recently ruled that adding a device, called a bump stock, to an AR-15-style rifle that allows it to fire repeatedly until emptying its magazine once the trigger is pulled does not make that weapon a machine gun. Go figure.
Am I the only person that thinks that one of these positions our federal government has taken has got to be wrong? It seems to be a fair question, no matter where one stands on the issue of possession of guns.
