Brooke Greenberg makes a statement in Sunday's column that a great mass of public school teachers are mediocre. I wonder on what facts she bases that statement. Has she sat in public school classrooms and evaluated the teachers (is she qualified to evaluate public school teachers)? Has she taken into account the disparity of the resources available to public school teachers and the resources available to teachers in private schools? I wonder if she will tell us next week how she personally knows that so many public school teachers are mediocre.
I have observed through my long life that the word "mediocre" is a favorite word of people who think they are superior to other people.

About those GodNods
A question for Mike Masterson is why GodNods happen to people of every faith as well as people of no faith.
