PROFILES | Amy Keever: Gallery owner encourages others toward authenticity

Steered firmly away from arts and a creative life more than once, Amy Keever never forgot who she was at heart. Now an artist and gallery owner, she encourages others toward authenticity.

When Amy Keever answered a call while working at a bank, the woman on the other end said that she was looking for a mosaic artist. “I knew for sure that was me,” Keever said. “God is not cruel. I wondered ‘What are you up to? What is this about?'”

While standing in the Amy Keever Gallery this week in Bentonville, it's uncharacteristically out of order. Much of the art is off the walls, still in boxes waiting to be lovingly hung and positioned back into their usual spots.
