Bradley Jelmert will look to carry on Arkansas State's vaunted legacy in the pole vault this weekend.
The Red Wolves senior will be competing for a spot on the U.S. Olympic team in the pole vault and looks to become the third ASU male athlete to reach the Olympics in the event.
Jelmert will be among 26 competitors selected and declared to compete in the United States Olympic Trials this weekend at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. The top three finishers will earn a spot on the Olympic Team.
A three-time pole vault champion in the Sun Belt Conference, Jelmert is hoping his fresh legs will bode well for him in the competition. After competing in the 2024 indoor season, Jelmert elected to redshirt the outdoor season in order to give himself another year of college eligibility in 2025 to continue his development in Jonesboro.
