Stetson 3, Central Arkansas 1

The University of Central Arkansas was stymied by five different pitchers Thursday as it fell to Stetson at Melching Field in DeLand, Fla.

UCA (23-27, 12-16 ASUN) put a runner in scoring position in each of the first three innings thanks to four stolen bases, but it couldn't break the deadlock until the fifth inning when Tanner Leonard drove in Mason King with a single to make it 1-0.

Stetson (35-19, 18-10) immediately answered with a solo home run by Lorenzo Meola in the bottom of the inning and two runs in the sixth inning to take a 3-1 lead.

UCA totaled three hits and two walks against Stetson starter Aric McAtee. Against the four Hatters relievers, the Bears went four innings without a hit, drawing four walks.
