The men's long jump final at the Paris Olympics will have a Razorback Jamaican flavor.
University of Arkansas NCAA champions Wayne Pinnock and Corey McLeod, competing for Jamaica, both advanced to Tuesday's final with their performances in Sunday's qualifying round at Stade de France.
Jamaica and China are the only countries to have two athletes among 12 making the final.
Pinnock, a senior for the Razorbacks this year, went 26 feet, 1 1/2 inches for the No. 7 mark in the qualifying round.
McLeod, who completed his collegiate eligibility in 2023, had the No. 11 mark at 25-11.
Jarrion Lawson, a former NCAA champion for Arkansas competing for the United States, fouled on all three of his long jump attempts.
Miltiadis Tentoglou of Greece, who won the long jump at the World Championships last year and is the defending Olympic gold medalist, had the top qualifying mark at 27-3 1/4.
