Senior QB doesn’t pass on UCA offer

SEARCY -- It seemed like a foregone conclusion that Owen Miller would find his way across the parking lot from Harding Academy to Harding University as he looked for a home to play college football.

The reigning NCAA Division II national champions offer just about everything a high school athlete could want, especially for the younger brother of two former and one current Bison player.

The Harding Academy to Harding University pipeline has been fruitful for Bisons Coach Paul Simmons, including Miller's three older brothers -- Andrew, Isaac and Easton.

But the youngest Miller enters his senior season as one of the state's top gunslingers, something that, by design, doesn't fit what the Bisons do as they attempted just 3.7 passes per game en route to last season's national title.
