Clay Bemberg has been at Lonoke for nearly four months, but he hasn't exactly taken his time putting his stamp on the Jackrabbits program.
He's hit the ground running.
"Coach Bemberg has brought more in just these past three months than we've had in a while," Lonoke senior tackle Matthew Boyles said Thursday on Day 2 of the Big Miller football media days at First Community Bank in Little Rock.
That's par for the course for Bemberg, who's also brought a championship mentality to Lonoke after serving as offensive coordinator at Little Rock Parkview and helping the Patriots roll to back-to-back Class 5A state titles the previous two seasons. He's hoping to do the same in his new position for a team that's looking to return to its winning ways after experiencing a few tough times in 2023.
