A woman was arrested on multiple charges, including attempted capital murder, after police investigating a reported robbery in Benton early Saturday found an 85-year-old man who had been run over by a car.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, Brittany Johnson, 32, of Hot Springs faces charges of aggravated robbery, theft, terroristic threatening, unauthorized use of another person's property to facilitate certain crimes and two counts of criminal mischief, according to a news release from Benton police.
Police found the victim, who was not identified in the release, after responding to a report of an armed robbery with an injured victim just after 12 a.m. near Arkansas 5 and Kenwood Road, just off of Interstate 30.
The victim was transported for medical treatment and was in stable condition, the release said.
