Work begins on 1850 cabin in Buffalo River park

Work began last week to rehabilitate a log cabin built in 1850 in what is now the Buffalo National River park.

The structure, known as the boyhood home of Beaver Jim Villines, is located in the Boxley Valley Historic District on Arkansas 43 near Ponca in Newton County.
