The Little Rock School District is asking the public for ideas for a name, mascot and colors for the new 1,200-seat high school that is under construction on Ranch Drive in the northwest part of the district.
To that end, district leaders on Thursday released a survey for community members to complete by a deadline of Aug. 16.

The survey offers respondents three options:
Pinnacle View High School with Skyhawks as a mascot.
Little Rock West High School with Skyhawks as a mascot.
Other -- with a space to explain the reason for the recommendation.
"The opinions of stakeholders will help shape the identity of our new school and guide the architects and contractors in their interior planning and ordering," district leaders wrote in asking for ideas.
