While the winners of the first two legs of the Triple Crown have a showdown Saturday at the Belmont Stakes, neither is the morning-line favorite.
That honor went to Sierra Leone, who was nosed out in the Kentucky Derby by Mystik Dan, who has some faithful and dedicated Arkansas owners who made the trip to Saratoga Springs, N.Y., earlier this week. He is trained by Kenny McPeek.
Mystik Dan, whose home track is Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs, is the third favorite at 5-1.
Mystik Dan ran second in the Preakness to Seize the Grey on a muddy track.
Seize the Grey is the fourth favorite at 8-1 despite his powerful wire-to-wire win for the legendary trainer D. Wayne Lukas.
They are the only entries that tested both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness, so the rest of the field will be more rested.
