Hot Springs, 1908: "This is a great place ... I am here recuperating. ... Am off to a good ballgame this aft." Joe was apparently a guest of the Majestic Hotel on Park Avenue, then only 6 years old. After being closed for several years, the hotel was lost to fire in 2014.
