Standing before a room full of former champions Thursday afternoon at the famed Honors Course in Ooltewah, Charlie Rymer was his traditionally charismatic self.
Rymer — the former Georgia Tech golf standout, U.S. Junior Amateur champion and PGA Tour player and commentator who is a native of Cleveland, Tennessee — was the master of ceremonies at a United States Golf Association news conference to welcome the 69th U.S. Senior Amateur to the Honors on Aug. 24-29.
"I think the responsibility of great courses is to host great championships," 2023 Senior Am champ Todd White told the room through a video conference.
White will be among the tournament's field of 156 who will tee it up on the 6,836-yard planned setup at the Honors.
