Eli Drinkwitz arrived in Dallas a couple of weeks ago for SEC football media days in a good mood.
The Missouri coach, a former Arkansas State assistant, and Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss were the surprises of the league last year.
After going 17-19 his first three seasons, the Tigers finished No. 8 in the nation and beat Ohio State 14-3 in the Cotton Bowl to cap a 11-2 campaign.
That's what NIL money can do for a program. It used to be success brought in the money, but now money brings in success.
"Now you're hearing reference to the Mizzou model of NIL," said Drinkwitz.
Mizzou went to the transfer portal again in the offseason despite returning eight offensive starters and five on defense.
