Supporters of the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival gathered June 27 at the home of Suzie Durbin, overlooking Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, for a Donor Appreciation Party honoring philanthropist Dorothy Morris.
Morris, founder of the Morris Foundation, along with Gail Pratt Frasier and the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival Institute Board, pledged to match donations made in June toward a fundraising goal of $30,000.
Morris was the recipient of the Governor's Individual Patron of the Arts Award in 2003, the Women's Foundation of Arkansas's Woman of the Year in Philanthropy in 2013 and an inductee of the Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame in 2020/2021/2022, all in recognition of her support of organizations in Hot Springs as well as across the state.
