Heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all the volunteers, staff, businesses, and nonprofit organizations throughout the state for gathering over 100,000 signatures from Arkansas citizens for the ballot petition. This effort aims to place the abortion amendment on the November ballot.

A special thanks to those who took the time to sign and reaffirm the Arkansas motto "Regnat populus"--The people rule. Despite the opposition from well-funded right-wing groups who attempted to intimidate citizens signing the petitions, and despite the absence of support from national organizations, the grass-roots efforts in Arkansas have triumphed against the odds.

This November, let's ensure the government stays out of our private health-care decisions and enshrine these rights in the Arkansas constitution, reinforcing the principle that in Arkansas, the people rule!
