It only took one visit to the University of Arkansas for Class of 2026 quarterback Jayvon Gilmore to want to be a Razorback, and he made it official with his verbal commitment on Thursday.
Gilmore, a 6-6, 195-pound prospect from Gaffney, S.C., narrowed his list to Arkansas, Louisville, North Carolina State, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech on June 28.
After Saturday's visit to Fayetteville, he said "no better place to be."
"The culture and coaches," he said. "Really showed me that there is no better place than Arkansas."
He completed 118 of 226 passes for 1,767 yards, 22 touchdowns and rushed 48 times for 112 yards as a sophomore at Columbia (S.C.) Ben Lippen High School.
Gilmore, who was accompanied by his mother on his trip, received his Arkansas offer from offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino on May 13.
"Absolutely
