Where to give credit

Your July 8 editorial "Where credit is due" highlighted Gov. Sarah Sanders' announcement of the state receiving $60 million in federal funding which is earmarked for water infrastructure projects.

The editorial identified this funding as on top of $2.5 billion that is already being put to that same critical use in our state.

The real recognition of where credit is due should go solely to President Joe Biden and the Democrats in the House of Representatives, as not a single Republican voted to fund the American Rescue Plan Act (although many showed up at the ribbon-cutting ceremonies).

Keep that in mind as you sip a cool glass of water during the Arkansas summer.
