The 12th in a series featuring newcomers to the University of Arkansas football team.
Entering his senior season of high school at New Orleans Holy Cross School, there were a lot of unknowns about Krosse Johnson as a football player. He was only able to play in a handful of games as a sophomore and junior due to multiple collarbone injuries that shortened both seasons.
Missing that large amount of time on the field led to a lack of game film for recruiters to evaluate him. While the unknowns and injury history may have given scouts cause to pause, one thing was always certain to everybody about Johnson: He possesses rare speed that separates him from the rest of his peers.
"He can fly," Holy Cross Coach Scott Wattigny said of Johnson.
