A pair of recently graduated seniors celebrated one of their final moments of junior golf with a win at the Arkansas Junior Match-Play Championship on Friday at Eagle Hill Golf & Athletic Club.
Anna Kate Nichols of Little Rock and Blane Burk of Conway took home the girls and boys championship, respectively. Nichols recently graduated from Pulaski Academy and won the tournament for the second time in the past three years.
As she wraps up an illustrious junior golf career, Nichols looked back on the relationships she's made along the way.
"I've met so many good people playing junior golf in the state of Arkansas," she said. "There's so many friends that I would've never made had I not played golf. Having those friendships that will last through college has been my favorite takeaway from junior golf."
