A kayaking class for youngsters age 6-10 will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Lake Hindsville. The lake is 10 miles east of Springdale off U.S. 412.
Young paddlers will learn basic paddling skills such as turning, stopping and how to reboard a kayak after falling out. Youth model kayaks, paddles and life jackets will be used. There will be opportunity to fish from the kayaks. Registration is required. Email Jordan Bevil, jordan.bevil.@agfc.ar.gov to sign up.
Fish Lake Hindsville
A free family community fishing event is set for 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Lake Hindsville, located off U.S. 412 10 miles east of Springdale. Arkansas Game and Fish Commission hosts the event. All equipment is provided. Poles will be available on a first come, first served basis.
