Former Central Arkansas Christian All-American basketball player and Gatorade player of the year Christyn Williams has spent the past two years in rehab and recovery but is back at a WNBA training camp looking for a chance to finally take the court on the professional stage.
The former UConn women's basketball standout guard spent the past two years healing from a season-ending knee injury. She's now back in the league and getting a chance with the Phoenix Mercury to compete for a roster spot and earn her WNBA debut.
"I'm feeling great," Williams told members of the media over Zoom last Thursday. "It's been a grind, honestly. I've been in treatment, in rehab, the gym, the weight room for the past two years every day just to get back to this point.
