Five-star point guard prospect Darius Acuff verbally committed to the University of Arkansas over Kansas, Michigan and numerous other schools Friday and is the Razorbacks' first pledge for the Class of 2025.
He made an official visit to Fayetteville in May, which was his second time to have one with Arkansas Coach John Calipari. He visited with Calipari in October while he was the Kentucky coach.
Acuff, 6-2, 180 pounds, of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, also officially visited Kansas and Michigan last fall prior to Juwan Howard being dismissed as the Wolverines' coach.
Acuff, a Detroit native, averaged 23.9 points, 4 rebounds and 3.6 assists for Michigan-based The Family program on the EYBL circuit this spring.
Family Coach Eric Evans said previously that Acuff is a combination of outstanding character and player.
