FAYETTEVILLE -- Chris Bailey wanted to go crazy in celebration that he had made the United States Olympic track and field team, but he still wasn't quite sure.
It was the night of June 24 and Bailey had just finished running in the final of the 400 meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
Taliyah Brooks, like Bailey a former University of Arkansas All-American, had a view of the 400 finish line after she ran the 800 to complete the heptathlon.
"It took forever for them to get results of the 400 up on the scoreboard," Bailey said. "They had put up who got first and second (Quincy Hall and Michael Norman), but we were waiting to see who took third.
