Free clinics will be held in Jasper and Kingston from July 16-25, courtesy of the U.S. Army Reserve.
The clinics -- which are open to people regardless of where they live -- will provide medical, dental, optical and veterinary care.
They are part of the Department of Defense's Innovative Readiness Training program, which provides joint training opportunities to increase deployment readiness while simultaneously providing key services for communities.
Similar clinics held last year in Yellville served 1,500 people, said Tina M. Cole, community development coordinator for the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District. She said the fair market value of the services provided last year in Yellville was over $716,000.
Among other things, the services include health exams, sports physicals, eye exams and one pair of single-vision glasses.
