Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders and U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton, R.-Ark, will be among the speakers at the Association of Arkansas Counties' 56th annual conference Aug. 7-9 at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
The Arkansas House and Arkansas Senate City, County and Local legislative committees will meet during the conference, the Association of Arkansas Counties said in an announcement Friday about the annual conference.
Sanders will be the keynote speaker at the opening general session, which starts at 1 p.m., Wednesday in Horner Hall.
The Senate and House City, County, and Local Affairs committees will convene at 3:30 p.m. in rooms 207, 208 and 209, according to the schedule.
The agenda includes a discussion of audits of previous elections in Saline and Garland counties.
Officials scheduled to testify include Chris Madison, State Board of Elections Director, and Leslie Bellamy, the director of elections, at the Arkansas Secretary of State's office.
